This report provides the cost structure of aluminium can by two-piece or three-piece drawing methods. In this process, the aluminium sheets or ingots or slugs are used to form a cup shape through slug extrusion or welding method. The can bottom is welded separately in the three-piece drawing process. After the ears of the can are trimmed, it is further cleaned and imprinted with labels. The can then goes for necking/flanging to give an outward flange. The flange is folded over after adding the lid.
