This report provides the economy of producing ammonia by partial oxidation method. It uses heavy feedstocks such as coal and heavy fuel oil. The partial oxidation process comprises of an Air Separation Unit (ASU), Gasification chamber, soot removal and sulphur removal. The ASU produces oxygen and pure nitrogen. Then Gasification produces hydrogen from oxygen and hydrocarbon. This process introduces impurity such as soot and sulphur which are then removed.
